FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EMMURE, FAREWELL TO FREEWAY TO TAG-TEAM CANADA

The next generation of ultra-hardcore will be tearing up the Great White North, as Canadian sensation Farewell to Freeway will team up with the brutally sonic overload of Emmure for a two-week-plus tour. The two young guns will cram 15 dates in 16 days, starting in Windsor, Ontario on April 4 and finishing in Toronto on the 19th.

The Connecticut-based Emmure  built an imposing rep in the Northeast as one of the heaviest hardcore bands in the country—and that was before they signed to Victory Records. They just released their debut album, Goodbye To The Gallows, which debuted on the independent label SoundScan chart the week of its release. The video to “10 Signs You Should Leave” has been played 32,000 times on YouTube, while their music has been played over a half-million times on their MySpace site.

Farewell to Freeway has emerged as one of the hottest bands in Canada’s post-hardcore scene. Alternative Press Magazine recently chose Farewell to Freeway as one of the “Top Unsigned Bands,” and one of their songs will be featured on The Best Of Taste of Chaos 2 compilation album.

You can catch this massive double bill at the following venues:

Wednesday, April 4th – Windsor, ON @ Club 1214

Thursday, April 5th – St. Catherines @ L3

Friday, April 6th – Burlington, ON @ The Music Centre

Saturday, April 7th – Kitchener, ON @ The Gig

Sunday, April 8th – Oshawa, ON @ The Dungeon

Monday, April 9th – Montreal, QC @ Café L’inco

Tuesday, April 10th – Fredericton, NB @ Marysville Legion

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WINDS enters the studio to mix upcoming fourth recording

WINDS, the Norwegian band consisting of Lars E. Si (Eikind), Carl August Tidemann, Jan Axel von Blomberg (Hellhammer) and Andy Winter, is entering the studio on April 4th, 2007 to complete the work on their long anticipated fourth recording.

The laying down of the tracks was finished gradually over the past three years, and now ready for the task of mixing, WINDS has chosen Hipposonic Studios in Vancouver and mixing engineer Shaun Thingvold for the task. Shaun Thingvold has previously worked with bands like Fear Factory, Paradise Lost, Lamb of God, Strapping Young Lad and Devin Townsend Band.

As previously reported, guest performances on the follow-up to 2004’s “The Imaginary Direction of Time” (out on THE END RECORDS)
have been completed by Dan Swanö, Agnete M. Kirkevaag, Lars A. Nedland and Oystein Moe, along with a classical string ensemble
from the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. It has also been confirmed that graphic designer Travis Smith has completed the cover layout,
and that a title for the record has been known within the band for several years already. The album title, along with a complete track
listing, front cover and release date, will all be announced in the not too distant future.

A tentative release schedule is likely to be in the early fall of 2007.

BRAND NEW SIN Embark On U.S. Tour With Type O Negative and Celtic Frost

March 29, 2007

BRAND NEW SIN Embark On U.S. Tour
With Type O Negative and Celtic Frost

BRAND NEW SIN kicked off a U.S. tour last night alongside Type O Negative, and will be direct support until labelmates Celtic Frost join the bill on April 9th. This trek marks the group’s second U.S. run in support of their critically acclaimed album, Tequila, which Decibel magazine praises as “accessible, blue-collar, booze-tinged metal.”

BRAND NEW SIN recently completed a highly successful UK tour alongside Soil, the first European run of their career. Last week, they returned to the roads of America with two sold-out shows alongside Stone Sour. See below for their current tour itinerary, and click the link below to check out their video for “Motormeth.”

Joe Altier (vocals) further describes his excitement over the upcoming tour: “We are extremely excited to be on road with the legendary Type O Negative. We thank Pete Steele and the rest of the guys for asking us to be a part of their first tour in nearly three years. This friendship was born when Peter joined us in the studio last year to lend his vocals to the track ‘Reaper Man,’ which we hope to perform live with him on a few dates this spring. We are also looking forward to having Celtic Frost on the bill. I know this lineup seems strange, but in a world where most tours feature bands that all sound exactly the same, this diverse bill should be a treat for fans old and young. Our set on this tour will see some more of the songs featured on our new disc Tequila, as well as some classics. Come out and enjoy what is bound to be one hell of a tour. See you all soon.”
