I think Otep lyrics sent me nephew over the edge, he is in Rehab. I believe because of Otep lyric, he says Otep saved his life. I think her music is dark and scarry. He says Otep doesn’t believe in god or laws and he has been in jail twice now and he is only 18 years old. How can I help him???
I don’t think, I know Otep is the best. Her music saved my life. No disrespect to the Deb lady, but it’s not Oteps fault nor is it her lyrics fault that your nephew is in the things he’s into today. We are who we choose to be. Music doesn’t make that choice for us. And if your going to take music to a drastic measure, and you can’t control yourself ; don’t listen to it ! The only reason her music scares you, is because you don’t understand her and how she feels. It’s not fair for you to label Oteps music the way you did , because your nephew put himself in those situations. Her music didn’t push him to the edge…he pushed himself. Oteps music does help, it changed my life. Those lyrics are truth and the truth came from a spectacular, independent, strong, beautiful, wonderful, unforgetable green-eyed, miraculous woman named OTEP SHAMAYA!!!!!!
I agree with Christina. Deb chick..there’s nothing wrong with otep or her music. But there is something wrong with your nephew. Otep has more fans that out number haters like you deb gasic. You sound like someone thats jealous. My friend christina let you know in a nice way that you were wrong. But i wont! Im surprised she worded it the way she did; because shes in love with otep, anybody like you that ever says that about her otep gets severly cust out!!!! Christinas right and your wrong lady…i think youve got problems to…maybe you need some rehab. Im with my girl christina otep rules!

And again I say, Oteps music does help. It helped me get through alot of abuse.
I’ve been supporting the great Otep ever since their first c-d came out ! Her music does not push someone so much, that they go crazy or end up in jail. It’s stupid for anyone to ask, does Oteps lyrics push people over the edge. Thats ridiculous !
If thats the case then rap music and rock music…push people over the edge…period. I don’t know why idiots want to single Otep out, and make it seem like her music is awful when it’s not. Her music,….honest to God is one of the biggest reasons I’m still alive. Otep and her music is spectacular, and I hope she makes more music in the future. I love Otep!!! And just like Otep, her poetry (songs) and art is just as beautiful as her. Otep is wonderful, and her music saves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
