Led Zeppelin tour promoter says dates are planned for sure
Led Zeppelin’s tour promoter has quashed fans’ hopes of a comeback tour this summer, insisting new internet reports of a series of live dates in Canada are just false "rumours".
Earlier this month, a news blog on Canadian music TV channel’s Much Music website reported that the legendary rockers were due to play four shows at the Skydome/Rogers Centre stadium in Toronto this August.
Led Zeppelin founders Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones reunited last year for a one-off tribute show to late music mogul Ahmet Ertegun in December.
The trio has fuelled speculation of more dates with remarks made in a series of interviews since the December concert in London.

However, Debra Rathwell, a spokeswoman for the band’s gig promoters Anschutz Entertainment Group Live, has dismissed the reports as hearsay, insisting there is no such tour planned.
"Alison Krauss and Robert Plant are touring together till at least the end of July, and Plant has made it perfectly clear that he doesn’t want to tour with Led Zeppelin," she said.
"Of course, stranger things have happened, but I can tell you that my office is not involved in any Led Zeppelin concerts in Toronto or anywhere else."

Velvet Revolver continue search for new singer for new album
Velvet Revolver are still searching for a new singer to replace Scott Weiland, but the band will not use reality tv to do it. Drummer Matt Sorum said reality tv tycoon Mark Burnett had approached the band about doing the next season of Rock Star, but they turned it down. He added, that the band is moving forward and they will have some exciting news in the next couple of weeks.

Has Microsoft Dropped The Xbox Ball - Again?

The ongoing saga of the faulty XBox consoles looks like it is going to rage for quite a while longer. Taking a look around the various forums that have become the voice of many unhappy buyers and it is easy to see that the 3 year extended warranty has far from pleased a lot of fans.
Even though Microsoft has admitted that over 11 million of the consoles are likely to be faulty they are exercising a number of conditions for these warranty repairs. How disturbing must it be to know that the number one problem with the console even has it’s own name - the "dreaded red ring of death" or RROD. Wouldn’t this be an indication that something is seriously wrong and as a company competing with a number of other high profile console manufacturers wouldn’t it be wise to do whatever you can to salvage a very tarnished reputation?
I came across a post that contained the dialogue from a call to the support center for XBox issues where the owner of the console didn’t quite have the full blown "ring of death" disease, the poor guy only had one flashing red light, not three. From all accounts this indicates a hardware failure, apparently a slightly different one to the "red ring of death" but a hardware failure none the less. The answer - "if we send a shipping box out the repair will cost you $119." A quick look around revealed many people looking for answers to the single red light so I assume this guy is far from alone.
Then there is the girl that was at work when the UPS guy turned up to drop off her re-furbished console. A call was made and it was arranged that the console would be dropped off at another time. Now this is where it gets weird, the console was sent back to the service center instead of the UPS depot and now a Microsoft employee is saying that the console is stolen and that she will have to take it up with the legal department even though she has the original purchase receipt. Obviously we are all only human and we all make mistakes but wouldn’t you think that these people would be bending over backwards to keep the customer happy?
Maybe the problem is that Microsoft is just that big that no one cares enough to give a damn about one or two million unhappy buyers? The ones that don’t have a problem probably make up the majority and that is all that matters but where does that leave our two subjects? Hopefully everyone comes to their senses and the ’stolen’ console makes it way back home shortly. As for old mate with only part of the "red ring" disease hopefully he realizes that there are ways that you can fix it yourself and doesn’t fork out the hundred odd dollars they want for the repair. Do you really think Bill Gates would miss that $119 anyway?

The Wii Nintendo revolution continues with some amazing product line up. The aim for company is to generate gaming interest for all generations. The Wii aims to get you out of the couch and onto exercising. All this while gaming was only standing but no exercise and Wii Fit has changed all that. The developers got the idea of a Wii Fit Balance Board while watching the Sumo wrestlers do the weigh-ins.
These sumo wrestlers are so heavy that the they use two scales to weigh both sides together. Same concept has been applied to the Wii Fit with the balance board which is dual scale and measures weight of the both the players, left and right side.
Wii has all sorts of physically interactive games which it has been trying to create and a generation ranging form three years olds to eight year olds have been busy lapping up its models. With the balance board it has now tried to combine exercise and gaming together to capture both the industries of games and fitness.
The Wii Fit and the Balance Board have about 40 activities including yoga, aerobics, strength and balance training.
There is an avatar called Mii which will tell you whether you are under or over weight and it will then try to create weight loss goals for you and you can then choose from a range of exercises to reach your goals.
Then there is a trainer which helps you get the exercises done correctly . For those who have never gone inside a gym this will be very helpful especially with the strength training and yoga modules.
There has been such a rush that old age homes and hospitals have been trying to get their hands on the Wii and it has been labeled as Wiihabilitation.
You cannot cheat the system for sure so the best bet is to work hard on the Wii Fit and balance board and it will reward you with more and more advanced activities.
So rush to your nearby store and get your hands on the Balance Board and the Wii game so as to get the best out of gaming and fitness in a bundle.
