PlayStation3 Vs Xbox 360 - Which Console To Use For Playing NCAA 09 Football

For all you gridiron fans out there, life just got sweeter thanks to the release of NCAA 09 Football. Other than McFadden on the cover, there are also plenty of new drool-worthy features on this version, available for Playstation, Xbox, Wii, DS and PC. Just imagine this: wider spaces, bigger holes, directional pump, play bluffs, enhanced passing control, open receivers and cutback lanes. You could also manipulate the ambience, with better customization controls and better-looking fields. And yes, enjoy the dynamic crowd in the sidelines with cheerleaders, mascots and more players getting in on the action. When there’s so many of these waiting for your shaky hands to handle, where do you play? The PS3 or Xbox 360? We examine the pros and cons:
Play with PS3
Okay, so you probably weren’t too happy with NCAA 08 playing on your Playstation. After all, you got into the action at just 30 fps (frames per second). Xbox players had it better - at 60 fps. Sony has heard your cry and answered your prayers. NCAA 09 can now be played on the PS3 at a faster, smoother 60 fps.
And if you want to be part of the Blu-ray DVD wave of the future, this is an excellent console to get. After all, there are other games out there that you want to immerse yourself in. Playing control and manipulation on the NCAA 09 is also much improved, so that’s probably something you can perform deftly with the PS3. If you don’t mind the occasional less-than-perfect color, images and graphics, go ahead and choose the PS3.
Play with Xbox 360
If it’s graphics you’re after, go with the Xbox. Per pound of muscle, Xbox 360 easily trumps PS3, even if Sony’s release papers say otherwise. Its GPU is simply much more powerful, allowing you to enjoy the stadium views in all its pixilated glory. Vertex processing is also well worth it.
If you’re talking high def, Xbox can deliver, something than PS3 can’t, since its anti-aliasing technique is a wee bit backward than that of Xbox. Since you’ll probably want to take pleasure in scoring that touchdown without feeling like you’ve been blinking the whole time, get your NCAA 09 Football game on the Xbox. After all, your hands may do all the work but your eyes are the ones doing the navigating. Give them a good treat.
Which one to use to play NCAA 09 Football with?
If price matters to you, get the Xbox 360. For one, the PS3 is more expensive, although you’ll need to shell out additional cash to get HD-DVD on your Xbox. But with the faster rate of running NCAA 09 Football, there shouldn’t be a lot of complaints on your part if you choose the PS3.
However, for the money and the sheer enjoyment of a great-looking game at its spiffiest, you might want to try the Xbox 360. NCAA 09 Football’s latest enhancement suit this gaming system. But again, it still depends on your own inclinations.

The cell phone is one of the coolest new features in Grand Theft Auto IV. Simply push UP to bring up your cell, and then push UP again to view the keypad. From the keypad, you can now devastate Liberty City with your arsenal of cheats.
Many of the cheat codes that you can enter may prevent you from activating several achievements in the game, so you won’t really want to use them on your ‘proper‘ save game. Start up a new game & pop in these phone numbers and you can instantly feel like a gangster!
Punch in 4865-550-100 to unlock the Weapons Tier 1 cheat. This cheat will activate the baseball bat, handgun, shotgun, MP5, M4, sniper rifle, RPG, and grenades for you to create instant destruction. Or try 4865-550-150 for the 2nd tier of weapons which include the knife, Molotov cocktails, handgun, shotgun, Uzi, AK47, sniper rifle, and RPG. Both tiers of weapons will provide you with hours of non stop mayhem!
Want to look around Liberty City before you open all the islands? Type 3595-550-100 in to your cell phone to spawn an Annihilator police helicopter. Watch for other helicopters as the Police & Army will be hot on your tail. But the Annihilator has weapons on board so give them back a taste of their own medicine for giggles.
Need a car in a hurry? Niko can call up many different vehicles via his cell phone. Dial 227-555-0100 to instantly spawn a FBI Buffalo or for a Super GT try 227-555-0168. If in need of a water vehicle dial 938-555-0100 to receive a Jetmax for that wet getaway. If you would rather strap on your helmet and tear off on a Sanchez try 625-555-0150.
There are many cheats that you can enter in your cell phone including other vehicles and the ability to lower or raise your wanted level if you feel the heat is on or not enough. You can also give Niko full health, ammo and armour or even change the weather conditions.

First of all Stealth is probably one of the most important key to being a successful sniper. Do not pick a sniping spot where you’re team mates are out blazing they’re machine guns. The only team mate by your side should be a fellow sniper. However there are exceptions, I’m sure you’d know them. If you are well hidden, whether your laying down in the grass, on top of a building, or in a building. You will do damage, nothing is more frustrating than getting killed over and over by a sniper that you can’t see.
Avoiding the Kill Cam
If you do not exit your scope the moment you make a kill, chances are the victim won’t know exactly where your’re at. After you kill an enemy, stare through your scope for a second or two, it decreases chances of you getting spotted. Doing that may cause you to get shot from the side, you are a sniper be aware of your surroundings and that won’t happen.
Remember to switch sniping positions, because eventually they will catch on and chances are you will be spotted and eventually killed, swapping positions decreases the chances of the happening.
Patience is key, be patient!!! I can’t stress this enough. When I say be patient, that doesn’t mean be stupid and let every single target go by. If you see someone and you don’t have a clear shot, don’t risk getting spotted. Wait, I guarantee you will see him again soon enough.
Always aim for the chest or head. Especially the head, but 70-90 percent of the time you pop him in the chest(depending on the sniper rifle your using and or perks him or you have equipped)he’s going down. Of coarse a head shot is an automatic 1 hit kill.
Don’t be scared to take risks, be a daredevil every once in a while. By that I mean stunts like trying to flank the enemy and come up behind them and pick them off 1 by 1, even if your alone. Of coarse you will not be successful every time, however if you do it, kills will start flowing in. Just because your’re a sniper doesn’t mean you are going to have the most kills, because that won’t happen all the time. However you should have the best kills over deaths ratio.
I would recommend any sniper rifle, because they all have they’re uses. As for perks, you should choose Stopping Power, Claymores/Bandolier, and Iron Lungs. If there are any tips you would like to share that I haven’t posted yet, share them.

So how Motley Crue new album single outsell 5-1 on XBox 360 vs Itunes?
I was out for a meal last night and was trying to explain to a couple I knew why video games were so big. I did my best but was still met by blank stares. What I should have done was told them about Motley Crue’s new single, Saints of Los Angeles. Who are Motley Crue? Don´t worry about it, that´s not the point - the point is that it sold 10,000 copies via iTunes and Amazon since release. But on 360? According to the band’s management, it’s been bought 47,000 times since being released as a piece of Rock Band DLC. And that’s not even counting the PS3 version of the game. So they’re understandably chuffed.

Why are people canoodling about this Led Zeppelin Toronto tour rumour?
Alright so– jon is going to piss himself once he reads this blog post, but lemme just get this out there first: NOTHING HAS YET BEEN CONFIRMED.
Okay so apparantly MuchMusic blogger Katharine Foster posted a blog that there are plans in the work for Led Zeppeling to play four shows THIS August at the Rogers Centre/ Skydome. Apparantly they are bypassing the US Completely, and just hitting Toronto. I really, really wish.
The National Post got in contact with the Rogers centre who seemed very confused at all of these rumours. They said currently there have been no press releases, no pending contracts, and they have no details.
hmmm.
FORTUNATLY THOUGH… these rumours aren’t completely unfounded. Also quoted in the article is Nadia Flaim, communications manager for the rogers centre. She said that she ““wouldn’t even necessarily say they’re in preliminary talks. It’s nothing that formal.”
So that means… that they’ve ACTUALLY BEEN TALKING.
And Graham Machacek.. the muchmusic communications deally- responded to Katharine’s highly buzzed about post (that I CANNOT SEEM TO FIND ANYWHERE), saying that her blog post was a “first-hand personal account” .. and so unless Katharine is on Robert Plant’s speed dial, then she’s probably playing broken telephone.
The supposed dates are to be August 19th, 20th, 22nd, and 23rd.
So if you’re like jon and toted around a led zeppeling hotmail account for the first 20 years of your life, you can religiosly check the Band’s website until they officially squash or confirm the rumours.. which will probably get to them in about a week, via airmail. …Although they haven’t updated the news section since March 27th…
*sigh*
If this is true.. do you know how much money this is going to set the two of us back? Jon’s going to make us camp outside of the rogers centre for like three weeks.
