SLIPKNOT premiered its new album, “All Hope Is Gone”, in a rare “no-call” appearance on the nationally syndicated radio show “Rockline” with host Bob Coburn on Monday, August 25. The program is now available for streaming at this location.
“All Hope Is Gone” was released today (August 26) via Roadrunner Records. The follow-up to 2004’s “Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)” was recorded at Sound Farm Studios in the band’s home state of Iowa with producer Dave Fortman (EVANESCENCE, SIMPLE PLAN, MUDVAYNE).
SLIPKNOT was forced to cancel several European festival appearances as well as performances for MTV Europe and Virgin TV after drummer Joey Jordison broke his ankle. According to a statement issued by the band, doctors have advised Jordison to stay off the ankle for four to six weeks to prevent “further injury or permanent and more serious damage.” SLIPKNOT expressed its “huge regret and disappointment,” adding, “Canceling shows is never an easy decision and we apologize to all our fans, friends and family for not being there to throw down with you. We will be back in Europe this November and can’t wait to see you all then.”
