Robert Plant says Led Zeppelin reunion tour is nothing more than a rumour

Oh boy..here we go. Remember the other day when it was posted here about Led Zeppelin reuniting for a tour in 2009? Well don’t get too excited kiddies, because Robert Plant is here to squash those rumors and put an end to all of your giddy excitement. How do his words “frustrating and ridiculous” sound? Pretty awful, eh?
That’s exactly what he told an unnamed British tabloid last week. In fact, he went so far as to say he had no plans to tour with anybody for at least two years after he finishes his tour of the USA with Alison Krauss, which is due to come to an end on October 5, 2008.
A statement from Plant himself says…
“Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin. Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets.”
Ouch, that hurts! Well one good thing that comes out of this, just think you can all save the money you would have shelled out for Led Zeppelin and put it towards the next U2 tour, which I predict will be near the end of 2009. Just a hunch, mind you.

So is it whatever if Axl Rose ever joined Velvet Revolver for the new Guns N Roses next tour?

That was Slash’s reaction to the news of MusicRadar’s recent poll that found fans want Axl Rose to join Velvet Revolver.
Slash took time out to speak with MusicRadar to coincide with his latest signature Gibson and Epiphone six-strings being unleashed on the world.
And Slash loves Les Pauls. That’s for sure: “I’ve got somewhere between 80 and 90 guitars and I’d say 75 percent of them are Les Pauls. It’s ridiculous – but they all have a unique purpose.”

During interview, Stuck Mojo says new album is ready for 2008

Atlanta rap/metal pioneers STUCK MOJO will release their new album, “The Great Revival”, on November 28 via Napalm Records.
The track listing for the CD, which was mixed at producer Andy Sneap’s (MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY, EXODUS) Backstage studio, is as follows:

Commented guitarist/songwriter Rich Ward: “We worked from a list of about 20 songs for the album, including SICK SPEED [Ward’s now-defunct side project] songs (‘Autumn Brings’, ‘Time and a Place’) and previously unreleased MOJO tracks ‘Friends’ and ‘Invincible’. To get the November release date that we wanted, the deadline to have the album completed was moved a month earlier than originally scheduled. At that point I shortened the list to the 14 songs that I felt were most fully realized and moved forward with those. From that list, a few songs did not get completed by the new deadline and are now back in the ‘damn that song is going to be good’ list of unused or incomplete ideas.
“If you have a copy of the demo versions of ‘Friends’ and ‘Invincible’, the songs have changed a bit, as most of the guitars and vocals have been retracked, arrangements have changed, and the production has improved light years.”
He added, “The record is very heavy in spots and very mellow in spots. When it’s angry, it’s angry. When it’s not, it’s not. No politics, just songs about life and how our experiences have molded us. A record about friends, family, love, loss, success and failure. Any fan that has followed us over the years will not be super surprised as we have left a bread crumb trail over the last few years. For better or worse and with no apologies, this record is who we are in 2008.”

Metallaca sues Fernandes guitars due to touring Robert Trujillo

According to TMZ.com, METALLICA’s lawyers have slapped Fernades Guitars in North Hollywood with a cease-and-desist letter demanding they no longer use bassist Robert Trujillo or METALLICA’s name or likeness in their advertising.
Trujillo had an existing promotional deal with Fernades. For being able to use his likeness in advertising, Fernandes was giving Robert a pile of custom bass guitars. But METALLICA has its own promo deal with ESP Guitars, which apparently created a conflict, causing Metallicorp’s lawyers to act.
