Should producers and consumers get blamed for making Metallica Death Magnetic album too loud?

No, it’s the the fault of the iPod or any other digital player. It’s the fault of the producers & the consumers. I imediately noticed the lossy characteristics of MP3s, etc. But compensated for that with higher quality compression methods. What I don’t understand are the people who say iTunes makes them wonder why they would ever need to buy another CD/LP. Almost everything I buy I buy on CD. I only buy singles, novelty EPs, live performances and superficial interests on iTunes - until they deliver a CD quality file compression method that doesn’t amount to 10 CDs on a 60 GB player.
