Let’s Not Forget Playstation 3
By John Milligan
Let’s not forget the Playstation 3 please. Yes, I know - all the talk these days is the Wii, Wii, Wii. I’m not anti-Wii at all, but come on, the ps3 is super cool as well isn’t it.
Yes, I know that the Nintendo Wii outsells the ps3 and the xbox 360. Wii has sold nearly 25 million to date, the ps3 13 million and the xbox 360 19 million! Pretty enormous sales figures don’t you think.
As super cool and packed with fun and excercises as the Wii is, it has 2 minor let-downs which, incidentally, Joe Public doesn’t seem to bothered about and thats great news for Nintendo themselves.
The first is the graphics - I think everyone accepts that they are not as superior as the ps3, but again this has not put anyone off purchasing the Wii.
The second is the low storage capacity of the Wii at 512mb flash memory. The ps3 has, depending on which model you get, around 60GB - wow, massive difference there.
The Playstation 3 will certainly not be forgotten in our time - oh no. 13 million people cannot be wrong.
The graphics are truly superb and when in use the console remains cool or only very luke warm, not heating up like some other consoles.
The ps3 just hums quietly while you play it - not so with the xbox 360 as you may know.
The ps3 is Blu-Ray compatible - great news especially as all games will be coming out on Blu-Ray disc as well.
Did you know that if you have a PSP, you can connect it via wi-fi to your ps3’s hard drive - lesson to learn? - no need to sell your PSP.
There you go, I said the ps3 was superb didn’t I. Nobody can argue with that.
The only real thing you can argue about is which console you think is best, the Wii, ps3 or the xbox 360?
Yeah, I know, difficult one isn’t it?
John Milligan.

Metallica is confirmed for Guitar Hero for Playstation and XBox early 2009

Metallica is confirmed for Guitar Hero for Playstation and XBox early 2009
Gamespot Au are reporting that we should now add Metallica to the rumour pile (currently consisting only of Van Halen).
Joining Aerosmith, the Guitar Hero Metallica themed game is possibly heading to retail shelves in the first quarter of 2009
"In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms," the company said in its SEC report filed recently.
With Rock Band out of the picture (at least in Australia) it looks quite possible that Guitar Hero : Metallica might be a Guitar Hero IV based multi instrumental release, giving gamers everywhere the chance to emulate the San Francisco based four piece.
I think I have just enough time if I concentrate real hard on my hair growing.

PlayStation3 Vs Xbox 360 - Which Console To Use For Playing NCAA 09 Football
By Brian Kaldenberg
For all you gridiron fans out there, life just got sweeter thanks to the release of NCAA 09 Football. Other than McFadden on the cover, there are also plenty of new drool-worthy features on this version, available for Playstation, Xbox, Wii, DS and PC. Just imagine this: wider spaces, bigger holes, directional pump, play bluffs, enhanced passing control, open receivers and cutback lanes. You could also manipulate the ambience, with better customization controls and better-looking fields. And yes, enjoy the dynamic crowd in the sidelines with cheerleaders, mascots and more players getting in on the action. When there’s so many of these waiting for your shaky hands to handle, where do you play? The PS3 or Xbox 360? We examine the pros and cons:
Play with PS3
Okay, so you probably weren’t too happy with NCAA 08 playing on your Playstation. After all, you got into the action at just 30 fps (frames per second). Xbox players had it better - at 60 fps. Sony has heard your cry and answered your prayers. NCAA 09 can now be played on the PS3 at a faster, smoother 60 fps.
And if you want to be part of the Blu-ray DVD wave of the future, this is an excellent console to get. After all, there are other games out there that you want to immerse yourself in. Playing control and manipulation on the NCAA 09 is also much improved, so that’s probably something you can perform deftly with the PS3. If you don’t mind the occasional less-than-perfect color, images and graphics, go ahead and choose the PS3.
Play with Xbox 360
If it’s graphics you’re after, go with the Xbox. Per pound of muscle, Xbox 360 easily trumps PS3, even if Sony’s release papers say otherwise. Its GPU is simply much more powerful, allowing you to enjoy the stadium views in all its pixilated glory. Vertex processing is also well worth it.
If you’re talking high def, Xbox can deliver, something than PS3 can’t, since its anti-aliasing technique is a wee bit backward than that of Xbox. Since you’ll probably want to take pleasure in scoring that touchdown without feeling like you’ve been blinking the whole time, get your NCAA 09 Football game on the Xbox. After all, your hands may do all the work but your eyes are the ones doing the navigating. Give them a good treat.
Which one to use to play NCAA 09 Football with?
If price matters to you, get the Xbox 360. For one, the PS3 is more expensive, although you’ll need to shell out additional cash to get HD-DVD on your Xbox. But with the faster rate of running NCAA 09 Football, there shouldn’t be a lot of complaints on your part if you choose the PS3.
However, for the money and the sheer enjoyment of a great-looking game at its spiffiest, you might want to try the Xbox 360. NCAA 09 Football’s latest enhancement suit this gaming system. But again, it still depends on your own inclinations.
Gamerosters.com provides NCAA Football rosters files for PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360. We offer purchase new memory card, memory card mail-in, and roster download service particularly NCAA Football 09 Rosters.

So how Motley Crue new album single outsell 5-1 on XBox 360 vs Itunes?

So how Motley Crue new album single outsell 5-1 on XBox 360 vs Itunes?
I was out for a meal last night and was trying to explain to a couple I knew why video games were so big. I did my best but was still met by blank stares. What I should have done was told them about Motley Crue’s new single, Saints of Los Angeles. Who are Motley Crue? Don´t worry about it, that´s not the point - the point is that it sold 10,000 copies via iTunes and Amazon since release. But on 360? According to the band’s management, it’s been bought 47,000 times since being released as a piece of Rock Band DLC. And that’s not even counting the PS3 version of the game. So they’re understandably chuffed.
