Celebrated spoken word artist/musician Saul Williams has been from music to movies and back again, known for his blend of poetry and hip-hop as well as his leading role in the independent film Slam.
Williams collaborated with Nine Inch Nails front man, Trent Reznor, on his third album to create the “love child” that is The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust, Offered to fans as a free download with the option of contributing $5 to support Williams, marking him as one of the first non-mainstream artists to offer their album for free on the internet, bypassing the role of a record label.
“This album captures everything I have aimed for in a song. Of course, as a performer, what truly inspires me is the opportunity to perform them live. The Niggytardust concept sets me free to do more on stage with costume, etc. than one might expect from a regular Saul Williams show.”
Williams’ politically charged lyrics along with the collaboration of visual designers and artists are all a part of the Niggytadust experience. The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust is available only at niggytarsust.com.
Be sure to experience Saul Williams live at The Mod Club on April 14th!
