Interview: Robert Plants think reunion tour could happen for Led Zeppelin

He tells Britain’s Uncut magazine, "Hopefully, one day, we could do it again."

And the group’s bassist, John Paul Jones, adds he and guitarist Jimmy Page agree: "We spoke afterwards, and we both thought the same - it felt like the first night of a tour."

"You think, ‘Oh, I could do that a bit better, or change something in that song.’ And we didn’t get a chance to do any more."

Could Lenny Kravtiz be the first to start a full on celibate world rock tour?

Could Lenny Kravtiz be the first to start a full on celibate world rock tour?

Not just a revolution, but millions of sexually frustrated  groupies will have to be put on notice about this:

In what I found to be a surprisingly thoughtful interview on "CBS News Sunday Morning," Kravitz talked about his Jewish as well as Christian roots–though he identifies himself as a Christian–and spent most of his time with CBS correspondent Michelle Miller discussing the vow he made to God three years ago to stay celibate.

Despite all of his success, it seems Kravitz still yearns for a permanent love in his life, and he sees this act of celibacy as a way to "help me find the right person." He said he would not "waiver" in this decision because he believes God will honor the choice he has made.

YES TOUR DETAILS FOR TORONTO

YES TOUR DETAILS FOR TORONTO

FOR RELEASE: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2008 @ 7AM

YES

SUNDAY, JULY 13, 2008
THE MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE – TORONTO
Doors:  7:00PM        Show:  8:00PM

With a remarkable 40 year career that has time and again redefined the boundaries of rock, musical pioneers YES have announced 2008 tour dates to take place this summer.  Marking the first national tour for the band in over five years, the 26 date jaunt will bring the iconic band’s virtuosic musicianship and exhilarating live shows to amphitheatres and arenas across North America.  YES will take the stage in Toronto at The Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto on Sunday, July 13!!!

A dominant force in rock music for more than four decades, YES has created some of rock’s most enduring and compelling hits and has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. The group has defined music history with their dynamic instrumental contrasts, extended song lengths and abstract lyrics. Their symphonic use of sound and innovative musical styles continues to make them the most successful progressive rock band in history. Their celebrated discography includes hits like “Owner of A Lonely Heart”, “I’ve Seen All Good People” and “Roundabout.” Now 40 years later their career continues to defy many of their rock counterparts.

“It feels incredible to gear up and get ready for the road,” says YES frontman Jon Anderson, “It’s been five years since our last tour. We’re all very excited to play to all of our fans, a lot of which have been with us for almost 40 years.  A lot of marriages don’t even last that long.”

Founded in 1968, the impressively extensive and always evolving career of YES has cemented their standing as the most successful and longest lasting progressive rock group of all time.  From the 1969 release of their ground-breaking self-titled album, YES, to their critically acclaimed 2001 release Magnification, YES have created visionary music derived from futuristic thinking and musicianship of the highest caliber. YES’ music has defied logic on many levels and survived many incarnations. For the uninitiated they have folk, rock and symphonic levels of music in their collective approach. There is a spiritual energy to their world derived from the lyrics and musical outlook of singer-song writer Jon Anderson.

The line up for this tour includes founding members Jon Anderson and Chris Squire joined by Steve Howe, Alan White and Oliver Wakeman, son of former YES keyboardist Rick Wakeman. Chris Squire is not only one of the great bass players of modern times, but has a wonderful sense of musical timing that stands strong within the musical magic known as "Yes Music." The same has to be said for the guitarist Steve Howe, who has folk, classical and rock music at his fingertips. Alan White, who played with the celebrated John Lennon, is the truly gifted heart beat of the group on drums. All are revered by musicians around the world.

Jon Anderson says, “One of the biggest thrills I get on stage is when I hear the audience singing along with me.” So join the celebration, and be part of the experience.

RIZZO’S SOLO CD’S ‘THE UTLTIMATE DEVOTION’ & ‘COLOSSAL MYOPIA’

ON SHRAPNEL RECORDS NOW!

HOLLYWOOD (March 26, 2008) - Marc Rizzo is one of the new breed of young guitarists in contemporary bands and has built a substantial following through his years of touring and recording with IL Nino, Soulfly and now breaking Metal History with shredding for Metal Icons Max & Iggor Cavalera in Cavalera Conspiracy.

Rizzo has stepped out with solo projects that reveal a phenomenal command of the guitar. Both solo albums unveils Rizzo to be a master musician with deep musical roots in metal, classical and flamenco guitar

COLOSSAL MYOPIA is a mixture of all the music that Rizzo listens to. It’s a combination of Metal Nuevo Flamenco and Jazz. “I don’t really listen to one type of music and I think my record showcases that,” explains Rizzo. “It’s an all instrumental CD for music lovers that want to enjoy pure music without all the politics and negative lyrical content.”

THE ULTIMATE DEVOTION is Marc Rizzo’s solo sophomore release on Shrapnel Records. This newly mastered work of shred-art comes on the coat-tails of his critically acclaimed debut album COLASSAL MYOPIA in 2006.

THE ULTIMATE DEVOTION is a myriad of Rizzo’s amazing talent to also combine flamenco and pure unadulterated shred mastery. “THE ULTIMATE DEVOTION is a total representation of where I am at musically right now,” explains Rizzo. “I feel I really pushed myself on this record to the next level of my playing. This music, for me, is the ultimate devotion.”

Rizzo’s raw energy combined with the talent of a new-generation shred-master is a much needed breath of fresh air to the instrumental rock genre.

TOUR: BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE WAKES UP THE DEMON FROM THEIR OWN SCHOLASTIC PAST

TOUR: BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE WAKES UP THE DEMON FROM THEIR OWN SCHOLASTIC PAST

Getting bullied in school - it’s every young student’s worst nightmare, and the basis of "Waking the Demon," the next promo video and U.S. single from Bullet For My Valentine’s sizzling sophomore album, "Scream Aim Fire" (Jive/Zomba). "Waking the Demon" is probably the hardest song on Bullet’s album and has its roots in the band members’ own experiences of getting beat up at school because they had long hair or because they were in a band.
According to Bullet For My Valentine’s vocalist/lyricist Matt Tuck, "’Waking the Demon’ is about finding someone’s inner demon. Most of us in the band got pushed around in school so the song is about getting tormented, day in and day out for years, and then one day - ’snap!’ - like that!"
The video for "Walking the Demon" was written and directed by Max Nichols (son of Academy Award-winning director Mike) and will breathe a visual life into Bullet’s lyrics:
"There’s just no limits to the boundaries you push
I’ve warned you but still you just f**k with my mind
There’s no escape from this rage
That I feel
Nothing is real
Breathe for me, don’t wake me from this slumber
Stay with me possession taking over."
– Waking the Demon

It is confirmed as Lenny Kravitz is sick as South American tour cancelled

It is confirmed as Lenny Kravitz is sick as South American tour cancelled

As for Canada, was it his health or poor ticket sales that the promoter cancelled those dates?

Lenny Kravitz has just canceled his South American tour, including his April 5 Buenos Aires tour date due to health concerns. The singer checked himself into a Miami hospital last week, suffering from severe bronchitis. Kravitz was slated to play the Quilmes Rock ‘08 Festival at River Plate Stadium in Nunez. The festival, which was to be headlined by Kravitz, will still feature rock mega-group Korn, as well as Ozzy Osbourne. Full refunds will be offered via ticketmaster. Singers Seal and Rod Stewart are scheduled to play Buenos Aires the same week at separate venues.

So do you think we will get sued for reporting this Motley Crue Cruefest tour info?

So do you think we will get sued for reporting this Motley Crue Cruefest tour info?

It seems their management has no problems in initiating this. We just deliver info so there.

Be warned. The story of the most destructive band in history isn’t a pretty one… With the possible exception of Ozzy Osbourne, no band has consumed as many drugs and as much booze without dying as the LA quartet Mötley Crüe. The story of their career (which the band elected to tell in graphic detail in their unmissable 2001 autobiography, The Dirt) is one of dirty needles, damaged minds and sex — lots of sex. And the miraculous thing about the

Crüe is not that they lived to tell the tale (although that is, in a way, a kind of unholy miracle): it’s that all of their wildly uncontrollable habits are clearly audible in their music, now available from Universal. Just listen to these albums: if you concentrate hard enough, you can hear the sound of the coke coming off the tables, the squeak of the bed-springs and the sheer sleazy grind of California rock over the last two decades.

DAVE MATTHEWS BAND
With Special Guest Paolo Nutini

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18TH, 2008
THE MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE – TORONTO
Doors:  5:00pm        Show:  7:00pm

“Summer means two things in N. America: It’s hot, and the Dave Matthews Band are on tour,” said Rolling Stone. Summer is clearly just around the corner as the band has announced their Summer ’08 tour, which includes a stop in Toronto at the Molson Amphitheatre on June 18th.

Concertgoers will be the first to hear the latest material from Dave Matthews Band, as the group debuts songs from its forthcoming record. The chart-topping band is currently in the studio with producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Alanis Morissette), working on the yet-to-be-titled album, which is the follow-up to 2005’s Stand Up, the fourth consecutive Dave Matthews Band studio record to debut at #1 on The Billboard 200. Guitarist and longtime friend Tim Reynolds is playing on the album, marking his first recording with the band since 1998’s Before These Crowded Streets.

Dave Matthews Band – comprised of Carter Beauford (drums), Stefan Lessard (bass), Dave Matthews (vocals, guitar), LeRoi Moore (saxophone) and Boyd Tinsley (violin) – has sold a collective 35 million units (CD and DVD combined) since the 1994 release of its major label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming.
