So how does guilt drive Roger Daltery of the Who auction his free Led Zeppelin reunion tour ticket?
Here is a guy who will milk as many reunion shows but feels kind of guity. Kind of weird if you ask me.
As we all know, fame and fortune surely has its privileges and attending the Led Zeppelin show at London’s O2 arena back in December for free was one of them if you were on the right list.
Roger Daltrey, frontman for The Who, was on that list and had an opportunity to attend the show but decided against it.

WINGER TOUR JOINS The PHOENIX RISING! MUSICIANS UNITED
WINGER Joins The PHOENIX RISING! MUSICIANS UNITED To Benefit the Victims of the Station Nightclub Fire Biggest lineup of stars ever on one stage in history of Dunkin’ Donuts Center HOLLYWOOD (February 20, 2008) – WINGER joins their fellow rockers in raising funds for the families and survivors of the Station Nightclub tragedy in Rhode Island. The charity event marks the fifth anniversary of the Station Nightclub tragedy in Rhode Island, the fourth largest nightclub fire in U.S. history. 100 lives were lost, 200 others were seriously injured and 65 children lost one or both parents. Five years later, funds available for the survivors are woefully inadequate. Only 15 survivors of the fire qualified for Social Security benefits, and many are still unable to meet their monthly needs. Dee Snider stated, “This event is about music fans desperately in need, so it’s important that “Phoenix Rising Musicians United to Benefit the Station Nightclub Fire Victims” be supported by musicians of all genres. We are so happy to welcome John Rich and his rowdy friends aboard for this very important mission.” John Rich (Big & Rich), Alabama’s Randy Owen, Dierks Bentley, Kellie Pickler and Gretchen Wilson will be joining Aaron Lewis (Staind), Tesla, Twisted Sister, Kevin Max and Stryper featuring Tom Scholz and Gary Pihl of Boston and just added, Winger, among others. All of the artists will be performing live on Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. John Rich will host the country portion of the concert while Dee Snider will do the honors for the rock segments. Emmy-nominated composer and musician Marc Bonilla who will serve as music director for the benefit, Carmine Appice’s SLAM!, Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Danny Seraphine with CTA, Gary Hoey and others still to be announced. All proceeds from ticket sales and charity auctions benefit the Station Family Fund, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization founded by survivors of the Station Nightclub fire. The Station Family Fund is committed to providing survivor relief, including costs of ongoing treatment and rehabilitation. The Station Family Fund, founded by survivors, family members and community members affected by the fire and the Wake Up To Love Foundation founded by Tesla drummer Troy Luccketta, his wife, Phyllis Luccketta are event organizers. While $100,000.00 was raised in 2005 from a benefit concert featuring Tesla, Shinedown, Pat Travers and Carmine Appice, those funds are in desperate need of replenishing. Tickets are available at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone at 401-331-2211, or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Prices range from $41.00 to $61.00. Ace Frehley of KISS tour joins Sweden Rock Fest
Ace Frehley of KISS tour joins Sweden Rock Fest
Space Ace is coming to Sweden Rock Festival! Ace Frehley is obviously best known as the original lead guitarist in Kiss, but he has also had a successful, although sporadic, solo career. His first solo album was released in 1978, when all four Kiss members issued their own albums simultaneously. "Ace Frehley" outsold the other three by far. In 1983, Ace jumped ship and formed the new band Frehley´s Comet, putting out the splendid album "Trouble Walkin'" in 1989. By that time, however, the band named had been dropped and the record was released under the name Ace Frehley. The compilation album "12 Picks" hit the shelves in 1997, but by that time Ace had already reunited with Kiss for a series of big arena tours and subsequently a new studio album. Now that the original Kiss line-up has once again split up, Ace has returned to his solo career. A brand new studio album is planned for 2008, so we should be able to look forward to both old and new Ace Frehley material as well as a few mandatory Kiss gems! Here are two Led Zeppelin tribute bands that will tide you over until their fall tour
Here are two Led Zeppelin tribute bands that will tide you over until their fall tour
This was posted somewhere that might keep hardcore Led Zep fans going:
After the stunning commercial and critical success of the band’s one-off benefit concert in London in December, a North American tour is a near certainty. Seattle is a city that looms large in Zeppelin lore, so a stop here seems almost mandatory.
Sure to whet the appetites of the band’s many local fans are two tribute shows coming this week: a symphonic treatment of Zep music by the 50-piece Windborne Symphony Friday at the Paramount, and No Quarter: The Ultimate Tribute to Led Zeppelin, a cover band that not only sounds like Led Zeppelin but looks like the band did in its youth in the ’60s and ’70s, playing Saturday at the funky Tractor Tavern in Ballard.
Symphony orchestras throughout America have presented the Zeppelin tribute program, with upcoming concerts set by the symphonies of Dallas, Phoenix, Buffalo, San Antonio and other cities. The Windborne Symphony is assembled when a local ensemble is not available, as is the case here.
No Quarter will be more like a real Led Zeppelin concert experience — although re-creating the guitar flourishes and improvisations of the brilliant Jimmy Page; the screamo vocals of the incomparable Robert Plant; and the solid foundation of probably the greatest rhythm section in rock history, bassist John Paul Jones and the late drummer John Bonham, is nearly impossible.

Why is Wales Stadium so desperate for Led Zeppelin to kick off tour?
This was reported as a Wales Stadium really wants this band:
"We are talking to Harvey about what else he could possibly bring and Led Zeppelin has come up in conversation.
“There is no deal but we are asking and he is listening. We are at an early stage.”
Possible dates have not been discussed with the group, who have long been associated with Wales, recording much of their third album at the remote Bron-Yr-Aur cottage near Aberystwyth.
Mr Williams added: “It’d be great, I think everyone’s a fan.”

The recent one-night only appearance of the hot American band My Chemical Romance marked Viva Concerts’ dominance in the foreign act live concert scene. The popular American rock group performed in Taguig on, Jan. 25 to the delight of over 20,000 fans.
Vivacom executive vice president Vincent del Rosario is very happy about the result. “The turnout was great,” he says. “We already have big plans for Viva Concerts this year but what happened with My Chemical Romance gives us the encouragement to bring in bigger acts from abroad and also to produce more concerts for local artists.
