Incubus has certainly come a long way since opening for bands such as 311 and System of a Down years ago. The group no longer resembles the dread-locked, baggy-pants-and-chain-wallet-wearing bunch of those days. The band’s sound also has transcended the psychedelic-funk of the 1995 debut, "Fungus Amongus."

Ah, the Bret Michaels of a bygone era. Let me burn an image of this in my mind when I watch Rock of Love. How over the top were poison? CC and the boys walking down Hollywood boulevard in tight pants, high heeled boots and full makeup was like my idea of heaven. And Bret popping out of the Murphy bed? Wooo! I have to go fan myself.

Panic At The Disco began writing the album a year ago, but after they’d written a solid batch of concept-driven songs, they stopped to re-evaluate what they were doing and ended up deciding they were over thinking the process. ‘Instead of really throwing anything away, we decided to just move it to the side and approach the second record the same way we did the first record,’ Ross explains. ‘We tried to approach the songs individually and write songs that didn’t sound like anything else we’ve written,’ he continues. ‘Now we’re finally at the point where we can sit down and listen to the finished record and I know we’re happy with it, so I think it was a really good decision-especially since we hope that we’re going to have multiple opportunities to fully realize what our first idea was in the future.’

What do you really think is making Eddie cancel the tour of Van Halen?

 

Man we heard them all. Drugs, booze, mental, physical. What the hell is ailing rock star Eddie Van Halen. Here was another post:

Sure, Eddie Van Halen may have taken the odd day off to record Michael Jackson’s most overrated song or develop a crippling substance abuse problem or two, but he’s always been the beating heart of Van Halen. So when Eddie Van Halen contracts a mystery illness and has to go and be tested, that pretty much spells curtains for Van Halen as a band.

Earlier this month Van Halen cancelled a few dates because of Eddie Van Halen’s ‘issues. At the time we were undecided whether this meant Eddie Van Halen had fallen out with his bandmates for the billionth time in a decade, or whether his ex-wife’s autobiography had plunged him back headfirst into a blizzard or booze and drugs, or whether he just has post-traumatic stress disorder from that time his garden got a bit flooded.
